Westgate Resorts offers locations along the Atlantic coast, in the Midwest, and in the West as well. A veteran in the timeshare industry, Westgate Resorts has made quite a name for itself among tourists and vacation owners.
At any given time, Westgate Resorts offers specials and packages available to those who would like to tour the resort and experience the amenities and provisions that are included in timeshare ownership with their company. Often, these specials can include a discounted stay at a Westgate Resort, tickets to major attractions or gift certificates.
Based in Central Florida, Westgate is a part of Central Florida Investments. They have twenty-eight resorts around the United States and almost a half million vacation owners around the world. As with most timeshare companies of this size, Westgate offers an exchange program that allows owners to change both their week and resort from year to year with other vacation owners. For those that wish to travel outside of a Westgate location, the company is affiliated with a vacation ownership exchange company called Interval International. Membership in this company allows timeshare owners at Westgate Resorts to exchange not only with other Westgate owners, but also with owners at more than 2,200 resorts around the globe.
Most of Westgate’s resorts offer some form of shopping, restaurants, swimming and lounge areas, along with various recreation. The Reserve at Westgate Lakes for example is a resort with a lake view offering water activities, a spa, a restaurant and even a private waterpark. Most of the condos have multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen and a living area.
Westgate is currently the third largest timeshare and vacation ownership company in the world. It operates and runs its own charity, Westgate Resorts Foundation. Unfortunately, this company has received an F rating from the Better Business Bureau and timeshare owners of Westgate Resorts seem to have mixed reviews of their ownership purchases.
