Palace Resorts was unique from its inception in the mid 80’s when it opened its first resort, the Beach Palace, in 1985. The property was unique because it was one of the first to offer all inclusive services. Since then Palace Resorts has built numerous timeshare resorts in Cancun, other areas of Mexico and is actively seeking new projects to incorporate throughout the Caribbean. Most of Palace Resorts’ destinations are found along Mexico’s Gulf coast, but they also have a resort in Puerto Vallarta that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. They have recently opened another all inclusive property, the Moon Palace Casino Golf & Spa Resort, located in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Palace Resorts offers an abundance of amenities along with their vacation resort rooms. Lavish golf courses can be found at their locations in Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit. Their resorts offer spa treatment in which owners of Palace Resorts timeshares can be pampered with soothing massages, wraps, footbaths and facials. Their newest location, the Moon Palace Casino Golf & Spa Resort even offers fast paced gaming action that will be open to guests in the near future. All of the rooms at this property also feature a private balcony, LCD satellite TV and double Jacuzzi.
Palace Resorts have earned many awards and accolades throughout the years. They were AAA’s Four Diamond winner in 2007 and 2008. They were also presented the “Best All Inclusive Chain” award in 2006 and the “Best Hotel Chain in Mexico” in 2007 by Travel Weekly’s Reader Choice Awards. They have also been presented with many other awards from acclaimed companies such as Travelers’ Choice, M&C Magazine, and Expedia.
Locations for Palace Resorts are fairly limited at the present as their resorts are only found in Mexico with one property in the Dominican Republic. Even though they are focusing on building more resorts at locations in the Caribbean, they presently only offer a limited area of vacation destinations.
Palace Resorts are still unique in the fact that they have properties that offer all inclusive vacations. Even with the influx of timeshare property managers in the world, this is still a very innovative concept.
