The Holiday Concepts Group was founded 20 years ago and has since become one of Australia’s leading timeshare companies. They offer a wide variety of resorts throughout the continent, with a number of locations in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and several resorts on the island of Tasmania.
Finding the right Holiday Concepts Group resort for your needs may require some research on your part, however, as the resorts truly are unique from one another and offer varying ranges of on-site amenities.
In addition, while some of the resorts are condominiums (such as the one in Cowes, Victoria), others resorts consist of single-story lodging groups. Likewise, the different resorts (and there are many to choose from) all offer a different kind of vacation experience.
For example, the Regent Park resort in Tasmania offers a bustling, urban experience whereas the Lakeside Country Club resort in Numurkah, Victoria is situation in the rural outskirts of town and is clearly intended for more secluded, “hideaway” vacations. Other resorts, such as the Marine Cove Resort in Goolah, South Australia appears Spartan in terms of amenities but is also strategically situated near some of the world’s best surfing grounds—so if you’re a surfer looking for an affordable place to stay on weekends, it would be ideal.
Although finding comprehensive reviews on many of these resorts proved difficult, the few reviews available did tout the company’s affordability. The photos of many of the resorts showed clean, comfortable and accommodating (if not luxurious) quarters with fairly spacious kitchens and, more often than not, beautiful views.
The onsite amenities or access to surrounding amenities seems to depend on the size and location of the resort.
The Island Breeze Resort in Cowes, Victoria had a plethora of onsite amenities to offer, including a children’s playground, sauna, half tennis court, pool and barbeque area. Housing is available in single- or two-story units. Conversely, the Riviera Beach Resort has only seven single-story housing units, a barbeque area, and a game room but is within walking distance of most amenities.
While it certainly appears the Holiday Concepts Group offers a good value, Apex Professionals advises reviewing all of the resort features carefully before making a commitment. Be sure you know exactly what kind of vacation experience you want (remember, you’ll be returning multiple times a year) and get a clear understanding about the onsite versus surrounding amenities.
